How can you not LOVE Downtown Prescott? Let’s see, there is the Courthouse Square with its lawn, its beauty, its downtown events, fairs, music and expos. Then there are the great restaurants like El Gato Azul, The Raven, The Prescott Brewing Company, Rosa’s, Papa’s Uptown, The Prescott Station, Bill’s Pizza, and more. There are the museums and Granite Creek and Granite Creek Park, the coffee houses, like Wild Iris, Cuppers and yes, Starbuck’s. There are the bars – the Pointe for straight on drinking, Matt’s Saloon for great two-stepping and Jersey Lilly, where the wonderful Larry D and the Drive play almost every weekend. Of course I can’t forget the theater. Go check out Prescott’s Center for the Arts, Stage Two or the venerable Elks. And make sure to see the art galleries, too. Ian Russell is a local and a fantastic artist, and there are so many more to be seen! Prescott’s downtown really is a little feast, and yes, I love it. I always like to stay close. Now you can, too.
