Prescott has many beautiful equestrian property neighborhoods. Most of them are up the Williamson Valley, where land is flatter, grassier and where water is plentiful. Some notable subdivisions include the gated and prestigious American Ranch, featuring the largest covered arena in Northern Arizona, Crossroads Ranch, where parcels are much larger and the riding is all around, and smaller areas without HOA’s, such as Williamson Valley Ranch and Blackjack Ridge. Most of the time, you’ll need a minimum of 2 acres to qualify as horse property and most of these equestrian communities use private wells, septic tanks and propane.
Horse properties in the pines are few and far between, but they do exist.
